Heater Design

We recommend you use at least new 80% heater to replace your existing heater. This new application will be selected for balancing airflow and maximum humidity removal. This aluminized heat exchanger is designed with no weld or seams in the heat exchanger and has been a proven product for over 8 years.

It will provide the heat and airflow needed to properly cool and heat your home. All heaters are installed with new vent pipe; gas valve and gas flex line. This includes sheet metal transition to the cooling coil as required for secure attachments. Central City Air installs new furnaces suspended from the rafters, if possible, to minimize noise and vibration.

Furnace Sizing:

Furnaces should be selected and sized at near 40 to 50 BTUH per square foot with standard ceilings, 50 BTUH per square foot for higher ceilings. If your needs fall between two sizes, select the larger size. In Houston, your furnace must be sized to hold a 68-degree temperature at 20 degrees outdoor. This is the law.
