Having a field technician do the proposal made it difficult to get in touch with follow up questions. Also, your proposals should break out the details of extra parts and labor. We had the luxury of David Debien, our founder, in constant communication with the Technician out in the field. He was available to answer any questions on the spot or later. Since David’s death we had to reorganize. We now have this matter handled in a similar fashion. Thank you for your patience.

Nice, polite service man – Good job!

Service Technician was fast and efficient. He explained to me the problems that galvanized drain lines have. I also asked him about recommendations on new thermostats. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. Thank you.

Everything working okay. Big mistake made on purchase on new ac/htg system was changing of thermostat. Mercury type should’ve been recalibrated because it served me well comp to new White-Rogers. The former allowed a 4° variable diff when units go on or off. This “high tech” one has only 1° degree diff and supposedly MORE accurate. Not so. Instruction booklet on Therm 1F78 clearly states under #5 operating features; temp settings allows adjustable temp range. Yet CCA technicians read this and said cannot be done with this non-prog thermo. Also bothersome is need to change battery. Thank you for your input on the t’stats. We are looking into this situation with this particular t’stat.

Service Technician – very professional and friendly. Recommended today – a Central City Air consultant has an appointment with my friend for a new a/c unit.

We learned of Central City Air by listening to Tom Tynan and David on the radio. We have been impressed beginning with our first phone call for information. The technician was efficient, personable and extremely thorough. He answered all questions in an understandable manner -- imparted much information. He does an excellent job.

Technician was exactly on time, checked the a/c unit, changed the filter, went over the paperwork and then was back in the truck. It was very efficient! I think Central City Air does a great job.

My first experience was planning and installation of central heating unit and a/c coils. Later, a new central unit was installed. Service agreements have been in force for several years. Technician was very good at explaining what he was doing and answering my questions. He did not object to me accompanying him into the attic and watching him while he performed his work. He was very professional and I look forward to him returning in the spring to check my air conditioning system.

Everything about service always seems to go really well – Thank you.

The only thing I would say is that my appointment was initially scheduled for 4:00 p.m. I was called and told that the technician was delayed because of a repair, which is certainly understandable. I was told he would be here around 6:00 p.m. I never heard anything more until 8:30 p.m., when I had assumed that he was not coming. It would have been good to have been notified, but I am very happy with Central City. We apologize for the miscommunication and have made sure our dispatch team and on-call people are coordinating better when we have a customer waiting on a delayed service tech. Thank you for your understanding and bringing this to our attention.

The technician worked well beyond normal working hours. His sense of service was truly remarkable, and greatly appreciated.

I emailed a week or so ago with the following question: would a 4-ton carrier unit be sufficient for a 2400 sq ft., 1 story, 10-foot ceiling home – Perry is the builder. Without reviewing plans or looking at the house – it is possible - this is a marginal design that is designed for 95° maximum, it will probably run nearly constantly when it is 95°s or above.

It’s interesting that the tech who serviced some friends of ours (new referral) was also the one sent to our home for this visit. Our friends had a very bad experience with Central City Air and I called customer service and said how disappointed I was. The individual who took my complaint made no effort to assure me that my feedback would be passed on.* This time for our service call, the same tech showed up at our house. He seemed to do a fine job and we had no complaints. We know we’re always going to get the best service and maintenance of our heating-cooling system with Central City Air. * That's not good. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We appreciate the referral and will look into what happen on the service end. Also, we have since reviewed our procedures in our weekly staff meeting so that all our customer's concerns and problems are handled correctly.

I appreciate the honesty and politeness of people I’ve come into contact with so far at CCA. I anticipate the System Design person will make practical/affordable recommendations for my home system. The technician explained everything about problem and system clearly.

Ian was proficient, knowledgeable and more important courteous. He was patient with our questions and careful in his explanation. He represents your company very well and I vote a raise for him!!

This call was for emergency service. Technician did a great job, was on time, professional and personable. All seems to be well at this time.

My only complaint with CCA is that you don’t seem to automatically renew your yearly service contracts. I want my service contract renewed every year without having to call and request it. Suggest you start right away by renewing it now. (Due to our large customer database, we send “check up” reminder postcards twice a year and we have a newsletter that is mailed out twice a year. We are currently working on getting an email-direct program working so that reminders can eventually be emailed directly to customer with email addresses.)

Emergency call – The Central City Air team was outstanding from the time we called. They called back quickly to set the time for the tech visit. The next call was that they would be significantly earlier than expected. The technician then checked other parts of the system for completeness. His professionalism throughout the service call was greatly appreciated!

The technician was doing an outstanding job of checking our systems. He also pointed out that we need 5” filters for better performance. I really appreciated this, however, I am not satisfied with the salesperson who did not bring it to our attention in the first place. (We have given a copy of your survey to your salesperson and have asked him to get in touch with you regarding the 5” pleated filters).

We received initial service on a Friday afternoon, approx. 6:00 p.m. Part needed (fan blade) was unavailable until Monday. The technician was very proactive in responding to my concerns about going without a/c through the weekend. He came up with a creative, temporary fix that allowed us at least to run the unit intermittently through the weekend. He clearly made no promises that the temporarily fix would hold – but, at 6:00 p.m. on a Friday evening, it made “waiting until Monday” a more amendable result of his visit. We recently purchased this relatively new house, which has 3 a/c units. The units were working reasonably well, but the humidity was high in the house. The technician took time to explain the tests he was doing, and why he was doing them. He commented on the quality of the original installation, giving me some maintenance suggestions. He added a little refrigerant to each unit, and slowed the blower speed on 2 of the 3 units. This definitely has improved the comfort level of the house. My only complaint is that it took too long to receive estimate after his visit (~ 3 days). We try to get our designs (5-15 page proposal) written and approved as fast as a possible. Time is consumed, by the 2-3 hours spent doing a whole house analysis and dialoging with each homeowner plus Houston travel, and further lengthened by the time required for the thoughtful consideration needed to prepare the work proposal. Like David Debien our Founder, would say, “the process may be grueling but the results are the main focus”.

I was not a loyal customer – until now! Your people, your work – Simply great! Wish my builder had used you to start with.

I was particularly happy when final proposal came back $600 cheaper – for slightly better equipment/warranty.

Crew was held up on another job and was 4-5 hours late. We had to call the service desk to find out why no one showed up. We wasted an entire afternoon waiting, when someone from the service/install dept should have called to tell us the crew would be late. The crew was courteous, efficient, and very professional. But someone should let the customer know when the crew will be 4 hours late. I apologize for this slip. We normally do call the customer and keep them up to date on where their crew is. We will look into see what happen in this situation and make every effort to fix this.

I am still awaiting a call from the Quality Control to inspect the work performed. I gave a copy of your survey to the QA department and you should hear from them by tomorrow afternoon. Thank you for letting me know you needed to hear from them.

The only problem was the door on the furnace wasn’t secured properly. This caused the system to stop during the second night. Called in and it was fixed immediately.

I would like the crew to be more prompt in the mornings. I had a hard time understanding the crew leader and wasn’t sure he understood me. When he lost my check, I lost confidence in him.

Did they leave your home clean & tidy -- yes, except found several sheet metal screws in drive that could have caused a flat. We have asked the crews to be sure and sweep up the driveways and check for screws.

Office said would be there at 9 -- usually 9:30 to 10:00 was closer. Not a problem, but not 9:00 as stated. Crew did a good job and worked hard -- it was a big job. Thanks. We try to get the crews away from the office no later than 8:30 a.m. Some times they do run into traffic problems that the office is not aware of. We will try to make better estimates.

The unit appears to be working okay. However, to date, we are still out of the house and won’t be moving back until May/June 2003. System is working wonderful.

I cannot say enough about the quality of the crew. They did it right the first time, and took no short cuts. If it works as good as it looks I’ll be happy. Having a large crew who can work together in tight spaces for 3 days is impressive, and they seemed to enjoy what they were doing. You are fortunate to have these men in your company.

I can’t think of a thing to improve the work crew. They work well as a team. I was even more impressed when I looked in the attic. How could anyone work in such tight quarters, and install so much equipment? They never complained or looked annoyed. Wow! What a pleasure. Up north, this type of service doesn’t exist.

Well, there was a little bit of confusion caused when one of the office staff called at the end of the day to tell us that Central City Air would be back out ton the 19th. We apologize for the confusion, that team member was filling in for the regular staff and was not aware the job had completed. We are working to get our system where it keeps everyone informed.

I would suggest a preliminary inspection by an installation manager or a crew leader who can go over a checklist of items or expectations with their customer. They can more accurately assess the time and difficulty. Factor of installing and accessing different parts of the home.

Job was completed in a day and a half. Very much more comfortable. Would be nice if crews could get an earlier start. Please correct our home phone # in your records. (done, thank you).

Installation seemed to take long, but the crew made sure everything was working properly and double checked all systems.

When I came to Baytown seven years ago, I had no guide to choose repair help. The system is working great. The System Design Consultant’s recommendations have improved the distribution of cooling and made our home comfortable.

(We try to get our Quality Assurance out to each job as soon as we can for air balancing and adjustments. The crews worked very quickly and efficiently. I was without ac on the first day, but came home to a cool house. They were polite and courteous. They were introduced to our 2 dogs (both in kennels). They did leave some spots on the carpet and on a chair, but cleaned them up. Fantastic system! No more hot loft and the study upstairs is actually cool for a change.

Terrific job! Excellent all around! We especially appreciate the attic “redesign” that the crew came up with after living with the system for a few days. It really makes a difference. The crew leader and his helper went way beyond what we expected.

I am writing to express my satisfaction with the HVAC equipment installed in my home last month. I would like to commend you and your employees for making this such a pleasant experience.

I was referred to Central City Air by some friends who had used your services in the past. They had very good things to say about the work you did for them, and insisted that I call you for an estimate. After getting proposals from two other contractors I must say that your bid, though not the cheapest, stood out from the others and well exceeded my expectations.

From my initial consultation with Mr. Brian Dietzmann, I knew that I was talking to a knowledgeable person and a reputable company. Brian spent about an hour inspecting my existing system, taking notes and photographs. His proposal was very thorough and he took extra time explaining why the changes he was suggesting were necessary, while not pressuring me into buying anything. Neither of the other contractors spent the amount of time and effort that Brian did in making sure I understood everything that was involved with replacing the system.

The installation crew led by Rodolfo was excellent. They worked efficiently and very carefully. My installation occurred in the first week of December just as a cold front came into Houston. Thinking that I wasn't going to have any heat for a few days after my old furnace had been removed, I was pleasantly surprised coming home from work on Wednesday night when sitting in my den I heard the new furnace start up. I later learned from Rodolfo that he and his crew had temporarily installed the new furnace and taped in some ductwork that day so that I could have heat two days before final job completion. This is just an example of how conscientious your employees are, and I trust that you will continue to consider them appropriately.

I sincerely thank you and Central City Air for providing such excellent service…keep up the good work! I will not hesitate to provide references regarding my pleasant experience with your company.

We recently had a Lennox system installed in our home approximately two weeks ago. I wanted to let you know personally about the exceptional service by your staff. We had various interactions with [your staff]. [The Install Coordinator] was extremely respectful, pleasant and patient with me answering numerous inquires that I had by phone - despite my actually already having answers to these same questions in the paperwork provided to me by the installers. I just hadn't read it yet.

[My Salesman] was very detailed in explaining our options to replace our equipment - something I appreciated being an engineer. He treated my wife respectfully in answering her questions and speaking directly to her. And we will not forget how after he recharged our system he told us he would come out as often as needed till we made a decision because it was important that we make "a good decision on our time" and not feel forced into making a decision because of unbearable/uncomfortable conditions in our home. At one point I was hesitant to select Central City Air because of higher cost, and I subsequently called to discuss the issue. He sold me as he carefully highlighted (again) the differences between your systems and a typical system installed by others.

Finally, I want you to be particularly aware that [the] installers...did an outstanding job installing our new system. Despite working in hellish conditions, they were always courteous and took great care to not damage anything moving equipment in/out. [Our installers] made great efforts to accommodate us and to make certain that we were happy with the system being installed and how it was being installed. We never felt like he was cutting corners but rather that Central City Air was doing exactly what they told us they would do. On the last day I had to leave a few hours before the crew was done. Upon completion, [they] took some extra time to show my wife all of what was done in the attic, and then to explain to her how to operate the system. This extra effort was appreciated by both of us. Thanks.

We have already had a chance to compare experiences with a couple of other neighbors as everyone has had the same underlying problem with substandard evaporator coils that leaked prematurely (all houses are less than 7 years old). We may have paid a bit more but there is absolutely no comparison in terms of design recommendations/options, the quality/craftsmanship of the installation, and what we got for the money spent. You have a great group of folks working for you - and we would ask you to let them know we recognized it.

Your men were here on Aug 13 to put in a new coil and some other work that you usually do with coil replacement. It is working GREAT! Our best friends also had a coil problem. Unfortunately they do not use you (even though I have tried!) They use [Company name withheld] (they also installed ours in our new home!--not our choice!) Our friends are out of town for the summer and [Company name withheld] was supposed to be there at 8:00 this morning. At 8:15 I called them from our friends house and was told it would be 10:00 as they needed to go get some equipment! So, I came back home. As I was pulling in my garage my cell phone rings and [Company name withheld] says they will be there in 30 mins! So, back I go! At 9:20, I called again and was told it would be about 5 more minutes---it was 9:40 before they got there! They did not have "quilts" to protect the white carpet and I made them take off their shoes and put them back on when in the attic! The replaced coil was the "A" shaped one not like the one you so kindly replaced for us! They were there about two hours! As I was cleaning up their mess I noticed rust spots on the carpet! I just want you to know how much we appreciate all that your crews do. No one does it as good as Central City! Thank you for doing the kind of professional and honest work you do! I am so grateful we do not use [Company name withheld]. Oh, our friends have 3 units and two have already had replaced coils and this one today was the second time it had to be replaced and the home is only 4 years old! Our home is 5 years old! It's been nine months since my new system was installed, and I just wanted to tell you that I'm very pleased with the system. My allergies seem to be much better and the humidity has been running around 48 - 50% when the system is running.

There are still people out there that you haven't reached yet. I met a guy at Home Depot and got to talking about mold growth. He was remodeling his house because of mold problems, and blamed the mold on the loose construction of his house. When I asked him about his humidity levels, he had no idea what they were at. He then told me that he had a 5 ton coil and a 3 ton compressor and was very pleased with his electric bills. Believe me that's what he told me. Now if any contractor would put a 5 ton coil with a 3 ton compressor I don't know, but he said his electric bills were $100 a month.

Anyway, thanks again for the great work your guys did.

I must ask you to forgive me. You responded immediately to my needs. But I've taken so long to write and thank you.

I have a "mold problem" in my house. De-humidification is imperative. And so, when my A/C failed, right at closing time (around 5pm), I called several A/C companies near to my house hoping they might come out. "No", they all told me.

Then I thought, "Call Central City Air. They're far away, but they're shortly going to be installing a new system for me. They might be willing to help."

Wow David! You guys certainly did help. You sent Jay out, who fixed the problem (it was more involved than my original diagnosis) right away, checked out the system, pronounced that he thought it would continue to live until CCA gets the new system in, and then…didn't charge me a cent!

Thank you very much David. Not just for the quick service, nor for solving my problem without charging me. Thank you for caring. Thank you for having pride in your company. One year ago Central City Air installed an Amana air-conditioning and heating system in our home and replaced our air-duct system. We have been completely satisfied with the units and the installation work.

Initially after completion we had problems with hot and cold rooms in our two-story house - as we have in the past. Let me start by saying I'm very pleased with the overall installation and performance of my air conditioning unit and furnace. As you would expect, I've had ample opportunity to use the A/C since the system was installed in July, and have even had the opportunity to use the furnace on the few cooler days we had some time ago. I'm very happy with the performance of the system as a whole. As expected, the Amana system is much quieter than my old unit. My electric bills have dropped due to the higher efficiency, and cooling and heating is much more effective with less humidity than before.

Prior to the installation, I was pleased that you took time out of your schedule on several occasions to come to my home, understand my needs, give me some options, and make a recommendation best suited for my home. You gave me your cell phone number to make sure I could reach you. You returned my telephone calls when I had questions and fully answered those questions. You then followed up during the installation to ensure everything was going as specified.

The office staff was very professional and courteous. On many occasions, either Rebecca, Karen or Kara phoned me to confirm the installation schedule (timing for your guys to arrive and timing when I'd be home), handle paperwork questions, schedule the QA/QC City inspection, or otherwise. One of the ladies even phoned me from her home one evening to confirm an arrival time for your crew. Their follow through was outstanding.

Your installation staff was also very professional and courteous. They arrived when scheduled, used floor pads to protect the floor, were careful carrying equipment in and out of my home, and cleaned up after themselves. I appreciated their courtesy and trustworthiness, and felt at ease leaving my home while they were inside working, knowing they would lock up when they finished at the end of the day. Since it was very hot in July, I left them plenty of fresh fruit and soft drinks to keep them from becoming dehydrated. I know they appreciated it, thanked me several times and even left me a thank you note saying the same.

Upon my inspection of the installation, I found some punch list items that I pointed out to Mitch who assured me they would be taken care of, and subsequently were. Mitch's quality check and quality control process tells me that Central City Air takes pride in its work and goes the extra step to ensure (1) the installation is done correctly and (2) the customer is satisfied with the system installation and operation.

The City of Houston Inspector arrived as scheduled and commented that the installation was one of the best he'd seen and was very happy to sign off on the installation. He found only one additional very small punch list item (a small air leak at the connection between the evaporator coil output and air duct input, or manifold as I call it). He said if I was sure Central City Air would return to seal the air leak, he would sign off on the installation and would not have to return. Without questions, Central City Air scheduled the repair and returned for a quick fix.

I know I got my money's worth in the product and installation. I know if I have questions, I'll get them answered. I know if I need an adjustment on humidity or air flow, Central City Air will take care of it. Let me say again, that I'm very pleased with the final result and hope you share my sentiments with all the Central City staff involved with this job. I will continue to recommend Central City Air to anyone who asks about heating and air conditioning installation or repair. It was a pleasure doing business with you. Thanks again.

I have been in Houston's service industry both as a worker and manager for over thirty years and am proud of the reputation that I have built through good service at a fair price. This is why, even though I do not normally write letters, I felt it necessary to send a letter of praise to Central City Air.

Having been schooled in and worked in the air conditioning field when I was younger and, as I told you before, I now know enough about air conditioning today to really be dangerous. But it did give me a basic understanding of how air conditioning works. After listening to Dave's no nonsense talk on KTRH radio, as you know, I decided to use Central City Air to replace my entire air conditioning system, ducts and all, for my 14 year old original system was causing mold and mildew in my house.

The system recommendations that you made for my home has proven to work as you said it would, but this does not begin to tell the whole story about Central City Air. In my opinion it is not only the system, but how professionally it is installed that is really important. Installing the ducts in my home was far more difficult due to there being three separate attics where the ducts needed to be ran to from one central air handler. The crew that you sent to my home was very professional from the on time arrival each day to the routing of the ducts so that when I went into the attics I was not climbing over a duct placed in the entryway because it was easier and shorter to put it there. Believe me, the training and pride of company that your crew relates, really shows. But it showed no better than when I was talking to one of your workers and he said, "we have to do the job right, even down to the smallest detail because our work reflects on Dave's reputation. Besides, Dave really takes care of us." What better work environment can you have than when there is mutual respect? Dear Mr. Debien:

It is a pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of praise for your very successful solution to the air conditioning problem in our home in Afton Oakes. We had an antiquated two-unit air conditioning system that had grown in a random fashion along with additions to the dwelling, but without any long-range plan and little consideration for advanced climate control considerations.

Shortly after we contacted Central city Air you arranged a meeting in our home to review the existing system and to discuss our preferences in terms of how we lived in the house and what we expected form our air conditioning system. You also inspected closely the mechanical units of the system, the ductwork, and the insulation.

Then you presented us with three alternative recommendations to achieve the objectives we discussed in our meeting. The alternative approaches were easily understood by my wife and me and basically they different in the level of sophistication we wished to have in the system. None of the choices was cheap, but either of the three would have been quite satisfactory and the least expensive was reasonable in cost.

In the end we chose the system with all the bells and whistles. We figured that we would be in this house for at least another 2- years and we wanted to enjoy the best and most comfortable system you could install. The new Lennox system (with some proprietary modifications of your own) contains two separate units with the ability to adjust power levels according to the load, plus a three zone temperature control using Honeywell electronic thermostats, all flowing through totally new ductwork. The a/c units are suspended from the ceiling in the attic (eliminating vibrations and noise), as is the ductwork, which is completely encased in insulating material.

To say the new system is a success is a gross understatement. The new system performs better than we could have ever imagined. Whereas with the old system we had the thermostats set at 72 degrees, and were continually fiddling with the settings to achieve some sort of balance, the new system remains set at 76 degrees throughout the house and requires absolutely no attention. Even though we like our home to be rather cool, at 76 degrees it often feels on the chilly side because of the reduced humidity this system provides.

We have been monitoring the operating costs of the new system and two months into the summer we find it is costing slightly less to operate than the old system.

While I am complimenting the technical aspects of this system I wish to also comment on the sensitivity to the homeowner that your crews exhibited during the installation. Ripping out the old ductwork and pulling out all the old insulation was an enormous chore, but they did it with a very pleasant attitude and were careful not to disturb our home any more than necessary. Nothing was ever left adrift at the end of the day, and the final post-installation cleanup was very tidy.

In summary, we are simply delighted with this new air conditioning system and look forward to many years of comfort from it. I highly recommend central City Air to anyone considering a major installation of this sort, and I would be pleased to be a reference for future prospects.

Thank you very much for the fine job you did in replacing my existing heat pump and electrical resistance heating system with a Lennox closed system gas furnace and separate coil. Although it appears costly to do this, the benefits are tremendous. Having calculated that gas is about five times cheaper than electricity, my heating costs will be substantially lower in the winter and the humidity level lower in the summer. I estimate that my investment will be paid back in very few years through lower monthly bills (and I'll be a lot more comfortable).

Your men, particularly your lead man, were professional, hard working, conscientious, and dependable. When I came home from my out of town business trip, everything was in fine order. You also have my gratitude for help on the dryer vent. I appreciate the extra service you always provide as well as the high degree of knowledge and training demonstrated by all Central City Air employees. You guys are head and shoulders above the other a/c services in Houston.

Hi Suzanne. I'm devastated that #2107 wasn't the big winner in the contest! But, time marches on and summer is officially arriving in Houston. My new a/c and heating system is working beautifully. I compare my monthly bill with my neighbor's. His house is a similar size, and he's gone a lot more than I am, and my bill is always 20 to 30 percent lower. I think it's all about the heat pump!
But as David would always say to us, "It's not the heat, it's the humidity!" I turned my a/c on yesterday and of course it's running (and cooling) beautifully. But, I realized, it's been in for 5 months or so and I should probably put in a new filter. Do I need to buy those from you (which of course would allow me to drive to Thornton to see everyone), or can I buy one of the 4 inch pleated filters that are now available at Home Depot?

I wanted to give you a little unsolicited feedback on my CCA experience. First, I hope that you are proud of the crew you sent to our house. This team not only did a great job (I'll get to that in a second), but they were efficient, clean, professionally courteous to me and my family and really seemed concerned about doing a great job...you could see the pride in their work.
Yesterday, the inspector came to sign off on our changes and I was surprised and very pleased when he tracked me down after his inspection and told me that this may be one of the best, all time, instillation he has seen and told me that no matter what I paid, I definitely got my money's worth. Truthfully, that is not something you expect to hear from a permit inspector!
Lastly, so far this seems like a great choice of units and installers. I can not tell you enough how good it feels in the house. Summer will be the true test, but so far, so good.

Rudolpho was here today to finish up the remaining items. He is very meticulous and he found that the charge was not right on Unit #1 and he tested with nitrogen, pulled a vacuum, and recharged the system. Most installers would not have taken that much time to make sure it is right. Your guys are not lazy.
I am very happy with the design and I look forward a cool dry summer inside the house. I think we made the optimal design choices considering that the house was built in 1992 and they did not do it right in the first place.
You are running a first rate operation and I continue to recommend you every chance I get. The problem is that most people don’t think about AC until they get hot in the summer. When I see the quality job you did in my attic, I know it is right. But most folks don’t really appreciate what they are looking at.

I was panicked and your soothing voice was comforting. Incoherent as I was, I was attempting to say that the thermostat was on 78; the a/c was running continuously, and the temp was steadily going up. Perhaps, it was just overwhelmed. After turning the thermostat up to 88 (which is as far up as it would go), in an hour per your instructions, I turned it back on and the air was coming out cool in about 5 minutes and has been fine ever since.
I have been trying to remember to request the technician who comes out to give routine service in the fall and spring to check my thermostat, which bewilders me as it has an off position, but does not seem to turn off. Maybe this fall….
I am unhappy that I missed your call. Bless you. Your message sounded so bewildered like “where could she be?” I was here and cannot tell you how that happened. However the phone has recently been changed out which was a wild trip in itself until I finally located Alex the telephone technician. Neither he nor I have a clue as to why the new phone did not work in the same place the old one was, but he made it all work, and I am happy and grateful for all good technicians everywhere.

Dear Mrs. Debien:

David replaced my upper/lower ac/heat systems in Jan of 1999 (I have been a Service customer long before that because I listen to Tom Tynan).

When I call Wanda, I request Ian for every service call. Yesterday lower ac failed to cool. My wife called for service and asked for Ian, but he was tied-up. But, Burt was dispatched and arrived that pm. Burt replaced outside capacitor part, etc. We are good to go.

Here is my point. My wife and I had forgotten about the 10 year warranty (parts/labor). I believe Burt called Wanda (Brian) to verify. I was only charged the trip charge of $65.00.

It is the thoughtfulness, honesty and integrity (in addition to expert knowledge of your business) of Central City Air in which my wife and I think you therefore. A loyal Customer I remain.

I will call Tom Tynan on the air this Saturday to praise your company, which is made of outstanding personnel.

I want to complement your employees on the excellent response and service I received this evening. At 5:00 PM today, I realized that the temperature inside my home was getting uncomfortably warm. Since it was 102 degrees outside, I expected the a/C to have to work a lot harder than normal. But when went to lower the thermostat I noticed that the outside unit was not running.

So, here I am, at 5:00PM in the evening, frantically trying to find your phone number, but at the same time, not expecting anyone to answer my call. To my surprise, a delight, the call was answered by a sympathetic lady who immediately added my call to today's work list and told me that someone would be out to my house as soon as possible. With concern, she advised me to leave the house if it got too hot. She confirmed my cell phone number and told me someone would call when on their way to my house.

The bottom line is that in less time than I expected, Ian, your A/C serviceman, arrived and immediately diagnosed the problem. He replaced some parts from his truck inventory and the repair was done in less than an hour. I am now sitting in a house that is getting cooler by the minute instead of wondering how the wife and I would make it through the night.

Subject: Great Job

Suzanne -

I originally called Central City Air due to Tom Tynan's recommendation and I have never regretted it. I had Central City examine the heating/cooling system of my current house as part of the inspection process before I purchased it. Your technician told me about the poor condition of the duct work and the system was too small for the house. As a result, a completely new system was installed and the cooling bills went from the $300+ to $100. I also had Central City put in a new system at my Mom's house.
Recently, I had a crack in an A/C PVC pipe, which caused water to leak into the house, when I had guests staying at the house. Although it was late in the afternoon, Central City understood the urgency and a technician, Jay, came from home within the hour and fixed the problem.
This morning, I called around 8, because my compressor went out late yesterday afternoon (Sunday). Wanda was great and had a technician, at the house within an hour.
When it is an emergency, your company always comes through. Your technicians are always knowledgeable, courteous and always leave things neat and clean. You take care of your loyal clients. I continue to tell others about your company, but I wanted to tell you that you are doing a great job on customer service!!

Re: Dirty Sock Syndrome GONE!!

I wanted to post a message letting you know that your advise and expertise was appreciated. You and your army of men came in and impressed me with their knowledge and service. I had DSS for a long time and every other AC company had no idea what to do except "try this and that" costing me money and a lot of inconvenience. You guys came in, identified the problem, laid out a plan and although it cost me a lot of money, it was worth every penny. I now have a new AC/heating unit with new duct work and zoned heating and cooling. The smell is gone, the house is very comfortable and couldn't be happier.

Your men were here on Aug 13 to put in a new coil and some other work that you usually do with coil replacement. It is working GREAT! Our best friends also had a coil problem. Unfortunately they do not use you even though I have tried!) They use [company name withheld] (they also installed ours in our new home!- not our choice!) Our friends are out of town for the summer and [company X] was supposed to be there at 8:00 this morning. At 8:15 I called them from our friends house and was told it would be 10:00 as they needed to go get some equipment! So, I came back home. As I was pulling in my garage my cell phone rings and [company X] says they will be there in 30 mins! So, back I go! At 9:20, I called again and was told it would be about 5 more minutes - it was 9:40 before they got there! They did not have "quilts" to protect the white carpet and I made them take off their shoes and put them back on when in the attic! The replaced coil was the "A" shaped one not like the one you so kindly replaced for us! They were there about two hours! As I was cleaning up their mess I noticed rust spots on the carpet! I just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all that you crews do. No one does it as good as Central City! Thank you for doing the kind of professional and honest work you do! I am so grateful we do not use [Company X]. Oh, our friends have 3 units and two have already had replaced coils and this one today was the second time it had to be replaced and the home is only 4 years old! Our home is 5 years old! Thank you again.

I had your crew service my A/C unit for a tune up because my humidity levels in the house were averaging in the 58-62% range and that is too high. After the system was cleaned and checked, I am happy to report that the humidity levels now are typically 48-52%, except when it's raining outside (then they temporarily go to about 58-60%). Thanks for the great job eliminating the environment for mold growth.

Subject: Good Service

My air conditioning went out twice in June. Your people took care of me very well. It means an awful lot to me for a serviceman to arrive within two or three hours from the time I called for service. Kelly was kind enough to call several times to let me know I was next up. Your technician was efficient and fixed me up promptly both times. The last time, [your salesman] called to check and see if I was serviced. David was the technician who came on my routine spring service call in April or May. I really appreciated his concern. When I first started using Central City several years ago, I experienced some problems getting service at the appointed time. There was a time when I started to go somewhere else. It now seems as if you have corrected your problems. I am glad, because I feel I can trust your technicians to know what they are doing. As you know, air conditioning in Houston is our lifeline! Thanks for the good work.

Subject: ductwork for my house

Just wanted to write and repeat on email that I am very pleased with the work that your crew (not sure of their names) had done on my house. My house had a gas line that was not run correctly through the attic when the previous home owners installed new features. Your crew re-routed the gas line and did a great job of dividing the upstairs and the downstairs zones. I have the butterfly valves now that will allow me to control better the flow of air.

Suzanne this is [customer on Adagio Lane installed May 2006] we had a long conversation. You had called to chat after you all had installed an a/c system in my house…Well, since my PhD is in math and statistics, you can imagine that I am a number freak. Anyway, I just wanted to see how much this Lennox system saved me over last year, so I got the percentages for May of this year over May of last year and June of this year over June of last year. Both of these are corrected for the number of days in the billing period, so it's the number of kilowatt hours per day per average high degree of temperature, so it's correct as far as everything needs to be corrected for. I was quite surprised from May of this year over the old system. The kilowatt usage was 75% of what it was last year. I just go today's bill and calculated it and in the month of June its only 71% of what it was last year, so I'm saving a pretty good amount and I only got the Lennox 13 SEER. I know that's not as much savings as I might have gotten with the 14 SEER, but I thought that maybe the return on the actual investment might not actually be worth it. I'm delighted! Sometimes claims are made, and you just never really know until you test it. I just thought you might be interested in knowing that. I'm really please with you.



12/16/05:

Received another wonderful COMPLIMENT today. The inspector called to let me know final passed. He said this was the best work he has seen in a long time! WOW!!! Installed complete system, flex duct, & 5" Pleated for $13,308. Congratulations to Rodolfo & Roque. Also to Cesar, who helped out. 1 day. Sold by Brian. I think that really says something when the INSPECTOR takes time out of his busy schedule to call the office & give a compliment. Way to go guys!!!!!



12/13/05:
I spoke with Mr. xxxxxxxxxxx yesterday and he could not say enough good stuff about CCA. He is going to call Tom Tynan & tell him what a great job Robert & the crews did. His job was a full system with a PMAC for $17,878 and we had to have it finished in 3 days & the guys came thru. Robert was out there with the crews also working his tail off. Crew Leader was Juan.

Pino, Rodolfo, Cesar, Santiago, and Mac all worked on this job. Mr. xxxxxx said he is very hard to please but he was extremely pleased with CCA. Mr. xxxxx only found 1 small scratch on the wall in the hallway, but he was going to repaint the hallway anyway. Everyone was polite, very respectful of his property, and did not leave a mess. The equipment is very quiet, runs great, and everything is just wonderful. He's really impressed with how little dust he now has. I told him I would pass along his compliments.
